Harrogate Pythons 2nd XV

The team competes in the YRFU Central North/West Merit Table.

Harrogate Pythons 2nd XV are known internally as ‘The Pirates’. These players may not have been selected to represent the 1st XV on that particular day but still share the same professionalism, passion and desire to compete at the highest level.

This team is pivotal in providing pressure on those selected in the 1st XV squad and often find themselves propelled forward following outstanding performances.

Harrogate Pythons RUFC 2nd XV look forward to welcoming all visiting teams to The Jim Saynor Ground as well as travelling to YRUF Central North/West Merit Table rivals old and new.

2021/22 Season

Harrogate Pythons RUFC 2nd XV had a full competitive season despite the post COVID effects leading to many teams struggling for player numbers etc.

Only 3 matches were unable to be played and the whole club was very proud of all the efforts both on and off the pitch that allowed the ‘Pirates’ to enjoy such a full season . . .
