After a long wait for confirmation from the RFU, Harrogate Pythons 1st XV’s hard work has been rewarded with promotion to Yorkshire 2 for the 2022/23 season.
This is great news for the whole club and just reward for all the work done on and off the pitch.
The 2021/22 season got off to a stuttering start, with two losses in the 1st XV’s first three matches, but a run of 17 consecutive wins saw Pythons secure 2nd place in Yorkshire 3 just 2 points behind Barnsley and 15 points above 3rd place Bramley Phoenix . . .
Throughout the season, Pythons have enjoyed excellent press coverage in the regional press and special thanks goes to Harrogate Advertiser‘s Chief Sports Editor Rhys Howell for his superb editorial throughout our season.
Rhys’s end of season piece featuring his interview with Pythons Head Coach Dan Bird can be read in full Here.
Pre-season training starts soon, but in the meantime and from all at Pythons, thank you for your interest and support during 2021/22 and we’ll see you down at The Jim Saynor Ground again soon . . .
