Defibrillator Generously Donated to Pythons

In December, we received a most generous gift from Speedy (Neil Summersall) and his wife Karen as they donated a new defibrillator and powered outdoor wall cabinet to the club that is fully accessible on match days and club events.

Last Saturday for the 1st XV fixture against visiting Burley RUFC, Julian Tatlow hosted a Chairman’s lunch, and guests of honour were Speedy, Karen and her parents too. who as a family, were able to come down to The JSG and dedicate the defib to the memory of Karen’s son James Still, who tragically lost his life on New Year’s Eve in 2010.

James was a kind, generous sports fanatic who had wished to become a sports physio so this seemed a fitting tribute to a club he would of loved to be involved with.

Dear Karen, Speedy and family. Your considerate and emotional gift to the Pythons family in memory of James is so touching and we all thank you again for it!
